WHAT ARE PFAS? WHY ARE THEY BAD?

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a group of synthetic chemicals that have been widely used for more than 60 years to make plastics, firefighting foams, and lubricants.  

Due to its high stability in natural environments, PFAS are also called “forever chemicals”. High PFAS exposure can lead to liver damage, thyroid disease, decreased fertility, high cholesterol, obesity, hormone suppression and cancer.

Enspired Solutions was established in 2021 to tackle one of the most pressing environmental issues worldwide.

WHAT’S DIFFERENT ABOUT YOUR TECHNOLOGY?

Current applied technologies are not getting rid of the contamination, but rather capturing the PFAS and transferring it elsewhere. However, the capture materials can become new sources for PFAS to re-enter the environment.
